Instructional Technology & Library Consultant • 2017-2021, 2022-present
Wayne RESA
Provide support and professional development to educators in Wayne County focused on the effective use of instructional technology in the classroom. Share and model strategies to shift instructional practices using technology. Collaborate with members of the Instructional Technology Leaders, Library Media Leaders, Virtual Academy Leaders, and the Educational Services department on how best to support district/department initiatives.  Lead the Maker Movement in Wayne County through professional learning opportunities and the sharing of STEM and maker materials. Lead the Library Media Leaders and the Destiny Users Groups in using research and best practices to promote 21st century skills into teaching and learning. Serve as the Follett Destiny project manager for the Wayne County Follett Destiny consortium.

Taught students information literacy and 21st century skills. Facilitated student learning and innovation through Genius Hour. Created, implemented and managed the school Makerspace, which provided students the opportunity to make, tinker and explore STEAM content. Collaborated with teachers to integrate technology into the curriculum. Responsible for all aspects of operating a library media center, including management, budgeting, collection development, and administration. Maintained the school and media center websites. Maintained all social media sites for the school. Facilitated a technology team, tech lunches, student blog and tech clubs, annual Battle of the Books, March is Reading Month, and two book fairs per year. Served as a member of the School Improvement Team and the Leader in Me Lighthouse Team. Served as a member of the District Technology Committee, the District Distance Learning Committee, and the District Professional Development Bond Team. Coordinated the keynote speakers and presenters for the annual district technology conference, Level Up LPS. Provided staff professional development.
